Alongside the E9 series, the task of revitalizing BMW's fortunes was entrusted to the 3200 CS. This high-end luxury coupé, designed by a young Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone, debuted in 1961. Despite its elegant design, the 3200 CS was expensive and somewhat less dynamic than its striking appearance suggested.
