1967 Ford Mustang Convertible
This 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Restomod is a thoughtfully built vehicle focused on reliability, performance, and comfort. Finished in classic Candyapple Red with a parchment interior, it has undergone extensive upgrades, all completed just 7,000 miles ago. These include new upholstery, seat foam, carpet, insulation, a new canvas convertible top, and a rebuilt powder-coated top frame. Other interior enhancements feature a new deluxe console, floor mats, door panels, armrests, and a Classic Auto Air A/C system with factory-style controls. Dakota Digital gauges, a RetroSound stereo, LED headlights, and a trunk dress-up kit complete the upgrades.
Under the hood, the 289 V8 engine has been refreshed with a serpentine setup, high-output alternator, new A/C compressor, power steering pump, billet timing cover, high-performance water pump, and FiTech fuel injection atop an Edelbrock performance manifold. The engine is paired with a smooth-shifting C4 automatic transmission.
The chassis and suspension have been upgraded with Global West coilovers, tubular control arms, Viking adjustable shocks, a performance front sway bar, strut rods, and bushings. Global West subframe connectors, a Shelby-style export brace, and a Monte Carlo bar were installed for added rigidity. The Mustang also features rack and pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes behind the factory-style wheels.
While the paint and body are finished to a driver standard and were not addressed during recent upgrades, this Mustang presents well overall and was built to be driven and enjoyed.
